I created the New York City panoroma from six photos I took from Liberty Island during a trip with my parents last March. I knew there was a way to stitch them together in Photoshop, but I’d never tried, so I was excited for this assignment. The first is the entire thing, but it’s so tiny at 600 px wide that I cropped it again to make it easier to see. Even though it did cut off the Brooklyn Bridge
.
The second one was created from four photos of my bookshelf stitched together. I took it for the assignment this week, but even with all the doors and windows open and a lamp in the hall, the lighting in my apartment is really terrible. I think Photoshop helped, but I’m going to have to bundle up and get outside from now on!
1. “So Nice They Named It Twice” Six photos; 03-21-09; 10:20 a.m.; New York City, New York; f/4.5; 1/800; Canon Powershot SD790 IS. Edits: Photomerge, levels, saturation
2. “Read All Over” Four photos; 11-07-09; 4 p.m.; home, Rexburg, Idaho; f/3.2; 1/160; Samsung S630. Edits: Photomerge, levels, luminance (saturation?)

I like your New York panoramic. I love the variety we get of these older photos that people in the class have taken that have been used for these panoramics. Panoramics really give a great perspective on things. I like the bookshelf and the idea of it. I just wish that it went farther to each side to give it a great perspective. It has good perspective now but I think a little arther to each side would realy help it pop more. Good job.

I like your book shot, Bre. Very creative instead of a landscape shot. The photos look like they merged very well. Great job!

I like you images this week, I think you did a great job. I especially like the book shelf. I agree that i think it would be even better if it continued on, but what can you do if that’s the length if your shelf. I think this image though would be a cool back ground if you took down the saturation and opacity. Nice work!!

I love both of these. The city is so cool and I want to go take pictures there now. I love the book case. You could frame it and put it in an office. I really like both of them. Good job.
